Delta Zeta

THETA KAPPA CHAPTER

ABOUT

US

Our Chapter

The Theta Kappa Chapter of Delta Zeta was founded at the University of New Orleans in 1963.

Our award-winning chapter has the highest GPA of all Greek chapters and is one of the most affordable sororities on campus.

We pride ourselves on being involved in both different areas of our university, as well as in the New Orleans community.

Our members are proud to be a part of such an amazing sisterhood.

DELTA ZETA

IS...

Delta Zeta was founded at Miami University in 1902 by six women. Now, Delta Zeta is the fifth largest sorority in the nation with 160 collegiate chapters.

Delta Zeta was founded on six pillars - sisterhood, social, service, scholarship, standards and self. Every day, the women of the Theta Kappa Chapter strive to live up to the ideals of our founders by remembering the importance of these six pillars.

Delta Zeta supports two philanthropies: Speech & Hearing, and The Painted Turtle Camp. All of our members are proud to be supporting causes that are so close to their hearts.

PHILANTHROPY

Delta Zeta nationally supports multiple philanthropies. The profits of our Philanthropy Events support Speech and Hearing, The Painted Turtle Camp, and The Starkey Hearing Foundation. Delta Zeta holds one large philanthropy event each semester, as well as smaller ones throughout the school year. Our annual crawfish boil fundraiser, Claws for a Cause, has raised over $5,000 dollars for our national philanthropies. While being involved in our own philanthropic pursuits, our members are always supporting the philanthropies of other Greek organizations on campus, as well as those sponsored by the University.
